Welcome Internet Party members!

With all the new members and volunteers joining, we're looking to formalise the party structures and ensure the Internet Party executive is listening to the #InternetPartyPeople

So, we've announced our Annual General Meeting for 2018 to be held in the weekend of the 15th of December 2018

We are seeking a few key Members with internet connectivity to hold local physical gatherings for the AGM, which will be predominantly online (please register). This will be a great opportunity to meet nearby members and collaborate.

The current executive of the Internet Party consists of:

  • The Party President: Suzie Dawsom
  • The Party Leader: Vacant
  • The Party Secretary: Jo Booth (interim)
  • The Membership Director: Daymond Goulder-Horobin
  • Executive Officers:
    • Blake Bedford-Palmer
    • Colin Smith
    • Bruce King

We are seeking nominations for positions on the Executive Committee. Nominations can be notified to the Party Secretary and a confirmed lists of candidates will be notified prior to the AGM. A reminder that only full members can be nominated - please do check your membership is current and/or join if necessary. Further rules are here.

We are also seeking members join the Internet Party Assets Incorporated society - who handle the financial side of the party: financial accounts, expenditure, property and assets. If you have a particular interest in this area, please do touch base with any of the current Executive.

To acheive any rule changes or structural changes - we will need a full turnout of at least 50 members, so spread the word. Please do let us know if there are any changes you would like to make. These should be advised as soon as possible, to allow time for discussions. If needed a subsequent SGM can be held to formalise any changes that don't make it to the AGM.

Lastly, your support is so greatly appreciated! We really couldn’t keep going knowing that we didn’t have the support of you all. Now, as you are all aware we are literally relying on crowd-funding. So for all of you who are regularly contributing, or have contributed monetarily A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO YOU #InternetPartyPeople! You have been the money train funding our infrastructure and outreach efforts, and putting bread on the table to keep us all going and defending the Truth! Thank you #InternetPartyPeople. Kia ora IP members!

We have had an influx of new members and volunteers and wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone joining our growing party, and update you on what we've been up to.

We’re so happy that you’ve joined us in dedicating yourselves to a cause that’s honest and here to create change for New-Zealand and the world. We believe change is progressive, and begins with empowering ourselves to take little incremental steps that add up to something really big. You have to learn to crawl before you walk, and we’re glad that you’ve opted to join in our journey because we are in this for the long haul.

As you may’ve witnessed last Sunday, we had a fantastic live stream featuring the brave drone program whistleblower Cian Westmoreland with Party Leader Suzie Dawson. Cian had a wealth of knowledge to provide in regards to how weaponised drones are impacting communities around the world, with the façade of aiding our militaries, yet having a very dark ulterior motive. It’s information that the establishment doesn’t want you to know but is critically important for you to hear. But be enlightened and inspired, because Cian paid a high price to reveal the secrets the Drone Programme has to hide. If you missed it, please view the stream using the below link.

You’ll also be pleased to see snippets from our sister parties around the world that support us and encourage the movement we’re working tirelessly to promote.

We also showcased the #AntiSpyBill legislation draft, detailing the clauses that you all have contributed to! It’s so awesome to see a community of people come together, and really create positive, tangible change for the country - change that is inspiring people around the world. We have just heard that Canada has already begun drafting their own Anti-Spy Bill and we expect other countries will follow suit.

Our biggest news is that we will be holding a press conference tomorrow in order for our candidates to meet you all, and for you to meet them as well. The media will finally know our official candidates list, and bear witness to the creative team that have shaped the party as it is today.

Lastly, your support is so greatly appreciated! We really couldn’t keep going knowing that we didn’t have the support of you all. Now, as you are all aware we are literally relying on crowd-funding. So for all of you who are regularly contributing, or have contributed monetarily A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO YOU GUYS! You have been the money train funding our campaigns, and putting bread on the table to keep us all going and defending the Truth! Thank you Team. For all those, who would like to donate and be a part of a bigger, grandiose picture please click the link below. It’s simple, easy, and would be greatly appreciated.

In the coming days our candidates team will begin to roll out our 2017 flagship policies - covering issues relating to education, technology, health, human rights and more. Finally you guys will get to see some of the initiatives that our awesome members have been engineering for months. We can't wait! If you want to be a part of developing the policies which drive this party, please join us on our Loomio: https://www.loomio.org/g/P1cEr3JT/internet-party-policy-incubator

You can also talk to us any time on our Discord channel, where our campaign hums away happily working on various projects, every day: the following join link will work for 24 hours, if you click it any later than that, just email volunteers@internet.org.nz to get a current invite link: https://discord.gg/c9BCSJ

Thanks again and we'll talk more soon :)

Love from the Internet Party Family

P.S - We have our #AntiSpyBill live stream events every Sunday afternoons/evenings so keep an eye on our Facebook and You Tube pages! :D

Good Afternoon IP TEAM!

With the dawn of the election rising soon, we have a few things coming up that we would love to prepare you for.

Firstly, we will be releasing the official list of the candidates and hosting a live stream press conference for yourselves, and the internet world to see the team face to face. It’s going to be a chance for you to see the people that have tirelessly worked for the good of this country, the folks that have been in the background designing policy and working on our #UpdateNZ campaign, and the fighters who have fought to bring hidden truths to New Zealand and the world.

It’ll be a great time to ask questions, and to better get to know the team. We’re really excited to get things moving and to meet you all!

We trust you’ve been viewing the live streams, it’s a bit hard to miss especially that we were trending number #1 on Twitter with our event hashtag #AntiSpyBill. We’ve been getting a whole load of attention by our viewers over the internet, yet the MSM still refuse to believe that we exist. However, with our weekly live streaming events, featuring incredible guest speakers and our awesome party leader Suzie Dawson, and the impending release of our flagship 2017 policies, it will be hard for them to continue their absurdity and they will be forced to acknowledge that we as a party are here and here to stay

We would love to take this time and thank you for your continued support and believing that we can make a difference and #UpdateNZ. We have the best interest for yourselves and the country as a whole at heart. We want the best for this country, and we want our home back. Don’t you? Please, if you could support us via donation, it would enable us to continue fighting the good fight of faith, and allow us to provide to the needs of the team, and to ultimately accommodate to the needs of New-Zealand.

We are up against billionaires and have learned the hard way that media in New Zealand has to be bought, so please help to make us stronger and our voice louder by donating here: https://internet.org.nz/donate

If you would like to get directly involved in the campaign we would love to work with you. Just pop an email through to volunteers@internet.org.nz

Love from the Internet Party Team

Hi Members!

Thanks for your patience as we get our 2017 campaign up and rolling. We are now well into the swing of things, and it's feeling good!

Our first two live-streams took place last week. We believe our inaugural stream was a world-first for any political party. In a groundbreaking demonstration of political transparency, we presented to both our membership and the wider public the campaign strategic plans developed in February 2017 that we have been implementing over the course of the year.

We also introduced the leadership team behind our campaign: Chris Yong (Party President), Jo Booth (Technical Director); Bill Urale (Team Coordinator); Sarah Illingworth (Communications Director) and Suzie Dawson (Party Leader).
Watch the grand reveal here.

Our second live-stream provided a window into a regular campaign team meeting. This gave our members an opportunity to watch us interact together, as we covered off key points of business. But it wasn't all work - lighthearted moments included some Star Wars-related shenanigans, and heartfelt sharing of our personal ideologies and ideas.

The streams have been a lot of fun so far, and it's wonderful to see a bunch of Internet Party supporters show up to chat with us in real time while they're taking place.

We intend to increase the frequency and length of our streams over the course of the campaign. Subscribe to be notified when we're online at https://ipnz.live/stream

You'll also notice we've added a shiny new 'donate' button at internet.org.nz. We're relying on crowdfunding to run our 2017 campaign, and we need your help! Please consider donating to #UpdateNZ

You can also find and support the Party on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and chat with us on Discord.
Come say hi! We'd love to get to know you.

Hello Members!

The Internet Party is again raising the bar on political innovation in New Zealand. Our campaign directors have decided to live-stream the behind-the-scenes activities of our campaign in real time at https://IPnz.live/stream

This groundbreaking, world-first initiative will give our members, and the wider public direct access to interact with our leader and campaign team, and to engage with the campaign and watch it grow.

This is something that would be unthinkable for old-paradigm political parties: an opportunity for interested citizens to witness and participate in an election campaign as it happens!

Join us TONIGHT, Tuesday June 27 at 8pm as we launch the stream by presenting to the public the strategic and tactical plans we have been developing and implementing over the course of 2017.

This is an unprecedented opportunity to witness firsthand and participate in all the exciting (or not) action that takes place while running an election campaign.

As you know, government transparency is a core Internet Party value, and we are pleased to be leading the way.

June 19, 2017

What a weekend!

On Saturday we revealed the identity of our new leader: Suzie Dawson. Suzie will lead the Internet Party as it contests the 2017 New Zealand general election.

For information about Suzie, and why we think she’s the perfect fit for Internet Party leader, please read the media release announcing her in the role.

Suzie’s identity was revealed via this NZ Herald exclusive. We’ve posted the full interview transcript online here.

As if that’s not exciting enough, we’ve had so much international attention following the announcement of Suzie as leader we’ve decided to set up an international platform at www.loomio.org/d/79tEdLZ4.

This is where we’ll be sharing tools and resources with #InternetPartyPeople from around the world, to enable them to set up their own Internet Party chapter.

Help us #UpdateNZ (and the world!) by supporting our 2017 election campaign online on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and offline in your local community.

Thanks, and happy Monday.
